Getting Into the Green Zone:

Optimizing Recovery to

Reach Full Potential

“With realization of one's own potential and self-confidence in one's ability,

one can build a better world.” -Dalai Lama

Recognizing Your Own Potential

Each of us possess different skills, knowledge, and goals, giving the idea of operating at full potential a different meaning depending on the individual. When examining potential, it’s important to remember that at the end of the day, you are only comparing yourself to you. Develop the mindset of not standing in your own way, and strive to be the best you can be, whether it’s mentally, physically, or in optimizing your ability to provide the best product or service possible as a worker.

What is Recovery and Why is it Important?

Recovery is allowing your body and mind to heal from the strain it endures on a daily basis. Stress and strain are threats to the body’s functioning capacity, and recovery is the process by which a balanced state is restored. Check out this article if you’re interested in learning more about the science of recovery.

It really is as simple as an evening of restful sleep, hydration, and good nutrition. These factors allow the body to fully recover and be ready to optimize performance. It’s that easy! So what’s stopping you from taking these steps towards achieving full recovery and performing at your body’s fullest potential? We’ve accepted this challenge at Haig Service and work to monitor and optimize all our staff’s recovery, making us able to provide you with top notch service.

Monitoring Recovery and Getting into the “Green-Zone”

There are many tools that can help monitor and track recovery. One that we have utilized at Haig Service for over a year is the Whoop Band. These biometric devices track a variety of metrics, providing insight and information about ourselves and our bodies in a data driven manner. Each morning, the Whoop Band shows an individual recovery score percentage, categorizing wearers into a green, red, or yellow zone.

Our employees are provided with Whoop Bands to optimize their abilities through tracking recovery, allowing them to reach their full potential. One of the aspects we love most about these recovery monitoring tools is that as stated before, you are only comparing you to yourself. At Haig Service we strive to be the best at what we do, and optimize our workers through giving them the means to monitor their recovery and work to their full potential.

Though we began using Whoop Bands far before the COVID-19 pandemic, they have become even more relevant in our attempt to keep our workforce safe and optimized as well as through creating a data driven metric that gives insight into a potential respiratory related illness, and can even act as an early predictor of COVID-19 onset, even before symptoms begin to emerge. Utilization selfof Whoop bands is an essential component to the creation of a safe supply chain with optimized workers, and ultimately allowing for safety in numbers.

Haig Service stands for optimizing yourself as a worker in your ability to apply knowledge, enhance performance, and solve any given problem in your home or workplace. Recovery is the means by which we can use our abilities to their full potential. If you think this approach to problem solving and service provision or standards in your workforce would be of interest, feel free to reach out to discuss and create a community of like minded service providers.
